Thorim Down

It took us a few wipes to realize that this is the most melee unfriendly encounter since Ragnaros. I mean, instant KO Chain Lightning? Ridiculous.

Hodir Down

Seems like this fight is a lot easier in the 25 man than the 10 man. Allthough, we were sort of messing around in the 10 man so it's hard to tell. Either way, the hard mode for this fight is going to be really fun.

Auriaya Down

Sort of a retarded fight considering once you get the pull down it's game over. It's a different approach from the normal, I guess.

Kologarn Down

After a 15% wipe on Monday, coming back in here on Wednesday was huge let down. The nerfs to his grip were completely over done. Maybe the burn-time to the grip, but definietly not the grip damage.

Ignis the Flame Destroyer Down

It's fights like these that push your strengths and weaknesses to their limits. Ignis is a complete tank and spank, which means that us bending it over with no trouble at all shows how strong our healing and tank core is.

Razorscale Down

I can't believe that after 4 years of designing encounters that Blizzard still puts in mechanics that result in completely unavoidable insta-gibs. In this case, double fireballs. Or Fireball > Chain Lightning > Fireball. I don't understand thier obsession with RNG, I really don't.

Iron Council Down

Just as easy in 25 man as it is in the 10. Nothing really spectacular here but hopefully the hard mode brings a nice challenge.

XT-002 Deconstructor Down

The first real DPS test in Ulduar down without too much of a hitch. The Gravity Bomb achievement is pretty pathetic as well considering it can't one shot anyone. Good to know that after Leviathan this instance is not going to be puggable. Since no pug is going to bother setting up a group for one boss, I think it's safe to say Ulduar is completely pug-proof. Currently, anyway.

First boss down, nothing special. Ignis and XT-002 trash is currently bugged though so looks like we'll be working on Razorscale tomorrow.

PGN 2.0

I know, I know. About fucking time right? Well here it is. Over the next few days I'll be completing the remaining pages but for now this a hint at what the site is going to look like in a few weeks. I'll be working on the Mods page first, then finalizing the videos page. (Hopefully Ulduar will have a few bosses worth recording.)

What's new in guild?

I've mentioned it a few times, but here's the confirmation. I'll be rearranging the ranks a bit, promoting and demoting to improve the versatility of the leadership when the content (should) begin to get difficult. The DKP updates are in effect, most notabley item reserves. On top of that, I'll be recording every hard mode kill we do and creating a video for our video section once I get it up. Finally, in order to add a bit more reality to our DKP System, I've been toying with the idea of creating ways for people to use thier DKP for other things.

DKP - Item Reserves

The major issue in every DKP system and especially ours in 3.0 was DKP hoarding. While this is an option for the player to take it is not benefical for the guild to have the MVP's hoarding DKP and missing out a slew of items. This is why I've instated Item Reserves. The idea is that based on the Officers discretion, the reservee-s DKP/attendance and overall skill they will be able to reserve a key item for a higher (150-200%) price. From there, they'll be able to buy items as they please pending any major drop in the above.

Pretentious Guild Name has been together since late 2004, early 2005 where we were running Molten Core weekly and tearing our hair out like everyone else. We are extremely laid back and have a very dark sense of humor.
